Minutes of the Last Meeting:

The Minutes of the last Meeting held on the 1st of May 2014 were agreed as a true record and signed by The Chairman.

Carried: Unanimously.

Matters Arising:

There has been no answer from The Rifles regarding Armed Forces Day. Therefore, there will not be a parade this year. (After Minute. An informal gathering will be held at 18:00 hours on Saturday the 28th of June at The Nag's head.)

David Manners explained that the meeting had been arranged to confirm the details of The D-Day weekend.

Friday 6 June.

Act of Remembrance. St Michael's Churchyard Garden of Rest

Dress as per Remembrance Sunday.

Walk the route for Sunday's parade.
Erect flags on The Marine Parade.

1942 Film “Went the day Well.” Regent Cinema.
Entrance - £1 downstairs, £2 upstairs.

D-Day Dance. Woodmead Halls.
Sunday 8 June.

Unveiling of the bronze plaque from the 16th Infantry Veteran’s Association, U.S.A. By The Mayor.
13:15 Hours
Mayor's Speech.
13:30 Hours
Parade muster at Gun Cliff.
Dress as per Remembrance Sunday.
10 County Standard Bearers have been invited.
Order of march: Standards, RBL, Woodroffe CCF, RNLI, Fire Brigade, Coast Guard followed by The LRTC.
Route: The Marine Parade, right wheel 180o  and halt in front of The Jubilee Pavilion.
Order of Service will be distributed.

Service starts.
Standards to be lowered during National Anthems

All proceeds from the weekend will go to The RBL.

David recorded his thanks for the hard work and dedication of the staff of the LRTC, The Rev. Jane Skinner, the traders of Lyme Regis who had purchased flags, T\he RBL, the schools and all the volunteers from the town. A special vote of thanks to Matt Puddy for his efforts to get the flags waving.

The next General Committee Meeting will be held at 19:00hours, in The Woodmead Halls, on the Thursday the 3rd of July 2014.
